Higher tensile strength, higher formability and resistance to corrosion and staining are some of the distinguishing characteristics of stainless steel sheets. With the specific application in mind, several grades of sheets are manufactured, e.g.304 grade stainless steel and 316 grade. Most of 316 is more corrosion resistant, stronger but more expensive and of a different strength range to the 304. The surface of stainless steel sheets can also be smooth, rough or textured as required. Stainless steel sheets are also one of the best options for many industries since they can withstand a lot of abuse while still holding their shape.
